"Steer Clear if You’ve Got Astigmatism!"
I decided to give Ollie Quinn a shot for the first time, and it’ll probably be the last. With my high astigmatism, I need special lenses, which I assumed they’d take into account. They did my eye test, so they were aware of my situation. The initial pair of glasses they made for me was pretty awful. The lenses felt cheap, and I noticed distortion right away, but they told me to stick with them for two weeks to adjust. Let me tell ya, I had a headache every single day after wearing those glasses. I raised my concerns, and then had to wait a few more weeks for a new pair. The optician assured me that this time they used better lenses and that I wouldn’t have to pay extra since it was covered under warranty, which is cool. But honestly, I just don’t understand why they tried to cut corners with the cheaper option in the first place. We’re talking about eyesight here, which is super crucial. You can’t just swap out your eyes for another set!

"Decent but feels a tad flimsy and has a clicky noise"
So, we got to go in even though the store was shut for inventory (they had a break-in the night before), which was cool. I picked out my first pair of glasses ever, and they looked pretty good. Now that I’ve got them, I’m not overly thrilled with the quality (they make a clicking sound when I put them on and take them off). I suppose for the price, I shouldn’t be too picky, but since it’s my first pair of specs... maybe I can be.

They were super helpful with my odd request for clip-on shades to match a non-OQ pair of glasses I already had. Got some solid advice and the turnaround was quick after I placed my order. Awesome support and a lovely item. But, my glasses appeared larger during the virtual fitting, and I was let down when they turned out to be smaller than I thought upon arrival. On the bright side, I managed to send them back and got my refund quickly, so I ain't got no gripes about that.

"Overall, a fantastic experience with great service"
This was my first time getting glasses in this country, and I chose Ollie Quinn. The optometrist, Tejal, was super friendly, and the eye exam went off without a hitch. Rory was a big help during the whole process, especially when I needed to return one of the pairs. The other pair I kept was digging into my head, causing a bit of discomfort after wearing them for a while. So, I popped into the Canary Wharf location to get them adjusted. Hafsa (I hope I got your name right) has helped me out several times and has been incredibly patient, trying different methods to loosen the sides of the frames while still keeping them secure so they don’t just fall off. Huge thanks to everyone; I’m definitely coming back!

I ordered a pair of prescription glasses online. The entire process was wrapped up in just about a week, and I'm really happy with the glasses. They’re top-notch quality, and that blue light filter is a fantastic bonus for spending all day in front of screens.

"Current Management Needs Improvement"
A year back, things were fantastic when Rory and Natasha were at the Leeds branch. They were professional and super friendly with every customer. However, since the new manager took over, the atmosphere in the store has shifted. I recently faced a problem with my contact lenses prescription, and instead of an apology, the manager just threw out excuses over the phone. I'm heading back to David Clulow at John Lewis, where the younger management team actually gets what customer service is all about. Honestly, I think they need to replace the current manager with someone who’s smarter and better at dealing with issues. His tone was quite rude, and he didn’t even offer any alternatives. Sadly, I won’t be returning!
